JELLY BROOKSI

bluerosy Sep 22, 2005 10:31 PM

Daveb asked for me to post an updated pics of the Jelly brooksi but most were in shed today.

For those of you that don't know this is a result of a Peanut Butter brookis crossed with a T- albino. The babies were supposed to come out double hets but instead I got this surprise.

I guess this means the Peanut Butter is not a hypo or lavender but a type of T negative (red eye albino) gene. At least we know they are some how related.

Some of these are real dark purple as well but they were in shed so i only got pics of a few.

this one is a little darker pigment but I have two that are REAL dark purpleish.

this one is not as nice as some of the others. Matter of fact it looks more like a Peanut Butter than the other Jellys.
I will post pics of the other ones after they shed. I think I have about 12 of them. Like all clutches of snakes you get the full spectrum of light to dark colors and eveything inbetween. I have some screamers that I will post later.

ARE U SERIOUS.... They are all SCREAMERS!... WOW!

i think the name will change... i think they'll all get darker...

now i'm not expert on genetics but is it possible that the PB is actually a 2x HomoZ morph? (it would explain the hypo/lavender look)... try breeding a T- male to a het PB female and see what pops out... i wanna figure this thing out.

the male i have is getting some pigment... here's an attempt at a comparison shot

I sent you the lightest one. It had virtually no red pigment when I sent it off. Interesting to see how yours will turn out as an adult. My guess is like yours. It will get more pigment as it grows.

Thanks for the compliment Paul. These will be on the market next year. I held back all of them except for one which I let go to Zenny. I do have extra males but I have not advertised them on the classifieds because I would only let a male go and then only for a large sum of money. Like all morphs they need to be established first and then their value goes up.
