Stupid Question...

oala2 Sep 23, 2005 06:50 AM

Is it possible to cross breed Peruvians with Surinames, Hoggs with Pastels or Colombians with Peruvians/Surinams? I am sorry if it sounds stupid...I am trying to learn some of this stuff. Thanks for your help.

It's possible, but you need to know your market before doing any of them. Most of those crosses would be between subspecies. Many people, including me, dislike subspecies crosses. Low demand translates into low selling prices and slow turnover. In my opinion, you could make more money producing Surinams or Peruvians than producing crosses.
