I swear I just can't keep up with all these forums. You asked a question below about the roach I though would replace crickets. That roach is Blatta lateralis. They are very fast breeding like lobsters, but don't climb smooth surfaces. They are very easy for anyone to breed, but most people still have a fear of roaches. The best starter species is Blaptica dubia because it is much more mellow and very easy to handle. Both species are great. I'm no scientist or entomolist, but just a reptile person who has had extremely good results breeding using roaches as feeders.
