They can go anywhere-- well almost anywhere-- they want to. Look in warm, dark places. They're nocturnal so get the flashlight out at 3 am (or whenever, after the house has been quiet) and look for it crawling around. Be sure to check along the wall. These are just a couple tips I got when a cornsnake of mine went missing. Have a look at the lost/escaped forum-- it will give you good ideas to know where others have previously found their MIA herps. Good luck-- and don't give up!

Ok, first things first is you need to stay relatively calm and double check the room where the snake is normally housed. Only once has my BP actually moved into another room when it got out of its cage. Try checking under couches or beds, under piles of laundry, stacks of paper, and especially around heating ducts. If you search the room again and the python cannot be found move on to the next room. Follow the floorboards along the wall out of your room. Continue following it into the next room and work your way along the wall making sure to check closets and underneath any furnishers along the way. If there is nothing in this room continue to the next. As each room is checked shut the door to this room and keep it shut to prevent the snake from moving back into a room that has already been checked. Continue moving from room to room in this fashion until you locate the snake.
If the snake is not located within a few days, try dragging a f/t mouse (of appropriate size) along the base of the walls. Then place the mouse into a hide box preferably near a heat source. With luck your snake will get hungry and search out the food. After feeding, the snake will hopefully stay in the hide and begin digesting his food.
Another option you could try is sprinkling flour along the base of walls. (note: this is not effective on carpeted floors) If the snake passes over the flour as it moves from room to room it will displace the flour and you will be able to follow the path it creates to where ever it ends up when it is done roaming.
Well that is about all I have to offer and good luck finding your snake.

I just recently had the same unfortunate experience. Start by calmly and thourghly searching the room in which the snake was enclosed then move from room to room eliminating them one by one. It is important to keep a cool head and be meticulouse and methodical in your search moving from room to room. Remember to close off the rooms as you go so your snake can't renter the "cleared" rooms as your searching another. Good luck with your search and I'm sure your snake will turn up.
