Problem Shed

reako45 Sep 24, 2005 02:25 AM

I have a Cali King that had a problem shed for the second time. I put some mineral oil and some of that shed aid stuff on my hands and that helped alot. I'm worried cuz she should be shedding in 1 piece. I have a UTH and a water bowl in the tank. What are some other things that I might do to increase the humidity in the tank? If not the humidity, what else could a problem shed be?

How about a forced soak for a few hours while in blue? A tupperware with 2" of water for a few should help. Maybe a damp hide with moss?

Thanx, for the info. I'll definitely try that. I'm a little worried because her scales felt a little loose, and in some areas came off 1 at a time. Have you ever seen that before?

No, and that is definitely not good. Maybe a visit to the vet is in order, this sounds serious.
