Want baby corn

I'm going to Florida in the next 2 weeks and was wanting to look for some hatchling corns. I will be around the St.Petersburg area. Staying at Madeira Beach to be exact. Can anyone recommend a good place to buy one? I'm hoping for a striped, but I know it just depends on what I fall in love with. Are there any breeders or good reptile petstores that anyone can recommend? My dad isn't willing to travel all over hell and half of Georgia looking for a snake, while on vacation, so would have to be some place close by.

First of all...Are we proceeding on the premise that there are NO good places nearby where you live where one can be purchased? My first suggestion is ALWAYS to find out if any reptile shows come to your area (EVENTS, above). If not, why not ask if there are any decent breeders near you. Or...Have you been through all that and decided that this vacation is finally a chance to find a snake?

Lots of folks order snakes online, but with a baby corn you will probably pay more for shipping than the snake itself. I've gotten all my snakes "in person" and would rather not get a snake through the mail if I had other options. I have the All Ohio Reptile Show within a short drive every month, so I consider myself lucky for that.

Maybe some of the folks on this very forum actually live close to you, and would sell you one of their offspring. Why not post a "Anyone breeding snakes within XX miles of XXXtown?" and see what you get. Or, again, have you tried that.

Anyway...Good luck. A corn is a great choice. Do all your homework in advance if you can. Duffy

Looking in the classifieds on this website, I have noticed quiet a few breeders in Florida. So, therefore, I was hoping to find someone that was close to where we were going to be in Florida. I do not wish to purchase online and would rather be able to pick in person.

And I have done all my "homework" and am familiar with the care and up keep of a cornsnake.
