Hi
you have many diferent colors.
most of the time its done by selection.
they picked out the yellow beardies to get yellow babies.
also the pastel beardies who not have the pigment black have very nice colors.
so its mainly genetic that give the color.
only thing you can do is a good uvb/uva light like a reptisun 5.0 close by not father then 12 inches.
and give him green/fruits that contain betacarotene.
yellow, red, orange colors have betacarotene in it.
then the pigment can color more in combination of the uv light.
i have seen normal looking beardie changhe in nice colors after 2 months.
but if he is a normal fase beardie then the grey kinda colors wil stay .

Go to your pet store and buy the most powerful (8.0 or 10.0) UV florescent Blubs they have availiable. Kepp them as close to the beardies as possible for around 12 hours a day. They will be healthier and eat more and lighten up.

Thank you for both of your responses. I put in a repti sun 10 in there about a week ago. I really dont care what color they are, cause I love them regardeless. I was just worried I was doing something wrong where they weren't changing colors. Thanks again!

Happy to help Cheryl.
Dark usually means either mad, or sick, or they just have dark "genetics".
I thought one of mine was just a dark beardie. But I bought a new bulb, and I gave them some Electrolytes, and she has now lightened up from black to greyish with tan lines. She is also hapier, eating more and overall more active and healthy.
Lower the placement of the bulb, and put the things they hang out on closer to it.
Remember to suppliment.
