Was at the gym trying to get a workout yesterday when some Sky Pilot decided to land on me and tell me all about how Katrina and Rita was God's wrath for Modern Music, Lower Education, Homosexuality and not having (he was building to this...) a personal relationship with Jesus.

I finally had to leave the gym to get away from this fool. Bad enough they let them out on the streets unsupervised, now you can't even have a workout with them whinning about their own salvation trip.

Jeesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Was just made aware of a news story...In Edmond Oklahoma the local christians have taken to celebrating their "day at the pole." This is an annual faith based gathering at their local school.

Part of this is to write the names of Non Christians and pin them to a cross set up by the school's flag pole.

The stated purpose is for the students to pray for these people.

This is an obvious attempt to spotlight people whom the christians view as wrong minded. As such it is blatent Discrimination.

It is also a vilolation of these people's right to privacy.

What's next...Pinning little yellow stars on the non believers?

Makes me want to puke.....

Why cant people just let other people be the way that they are, instead of constantly trying to change them?

People see a teenager on a board listening to music and assume that he/she does drugs and drinks.

People see a guy with long hair and tell him that he needs to cut it.

They see a woman dressed conservatively and assume that she is a spinster or an old maid.

They see a guy that worships trees and call him a devil worshipper.

They see a person reading a bible, alone, privately and assume that that person is a bible thumper and beleives only THEY are going to heaven.

Why cant people just let other people be the way that they are instead of trying to change them into mirror copies of themselves?

This goes for all religions and political views to btw.

Guys/Gals,

I am a Christian, believe in Christ as Lord and Saviour.
But frankly I wouldnt post ANYONES name on a pole for all too see,their life is their business not mine. And its not for me to judge them and make a public display of their SINS, I have enough trouble struggling with my OWN...thank you very much...

And frankly, if there were 50 Druids gathered around the pole worshipping...it would disturb me absolutely ZERO. I figure that thats what they choose to do, and I would either join them if I WANTED to or just move on.

I wouldnt complain nor demean them. What the hell for?

I do draw the line with folks that sacrifice animals in the name of religion. I would have a hard time in the old testament days as I would have been trying to stop the sacrifice of lambs, unless they were for my 25 ft leucistic anaconda!
And santaria people would hate me cause Id let the chickens loose But then,I have no qualms feeding them to a nice labrynith burm...so you try and figure me out? lol

In short, I think that people in general cant let other people be the way that they are. Because it makes THEM feel uncomfortable. Witness those who are super patriots.....they cant even sit down to a table with those that think that Bush ought to be impeached.They argue all day.

And those that want Bush to be impeached, try like hell to change the minds of those that think he is an ok guy.

No one leaves well enough alone.

All you need to do is convince the people that you worship the snakes are are sacrificing critters to them thereby making it all well and good.

That's funny. I wonder if people feel bad if their names aren't on the list for some reason.....lol. Heck, I don't try to make them NOT believe in their god, so why can't they leave unbelievers alone?
