I think as long as you have the pastel gene and match it up with a nice clean normal gene then you'll have no problems getting some sweet looking pastels.

As previously stated, pretty Pastels can produce ugly Pastel offspring, and vice versa. However, you increase the likelyhood of producing pretty Pastels if you use a pretty Pastel to begin with.
