I place him on a dark backgroud when taking pictures, because the camera flash tends to wash out or fade the yellow on him. So far as he's been growing and shedding, the yellow seems to be just as bright. Hopefully the chain pattern will stay this yellow all the way into adulthood.

Interestingly enough one of my N.C. easterns has went from white to yellow as she reached adulthood. With each shed the yellow is becoming more intense. Her sibling is still white on black. I like the variation myself. Makes the snakes even more interesting. I have seen cream bellied nigra and yellow bellied ones at the same locale as well. Phil
