Cage temperature issues

jgaeta Sep 25, 2005 11:23 AM

Hi, I'm a newbie with juvies and I am having a bit of trouble dropping my cage temp. The max is about 81 and min 73 F. How can I drop it lower?

what are you heating the cage with, if anything? if you are leaving it at room temperature, only way to change the temp is to lower your room temperature or move the cage to a cooler location of your home. However, 81F isn't too bad, even for young geckos, especially if the temp isn't constant. If it goes above 85F then the geckos could die from heat exhaustion.
