jeanette74 Sep 25, 2005 11:57 AM

This will be the first fall/winter I will have my leopard in Massachusetts-Any advice is appreciated-I shut the under the tank heater off in the summer and have turned it back on since the last few nights have been cool-any foods that I should give him more of in the summer since he wont be in the natural sunlight?

Hello J,
I am in Massachusetts too. I was told that we've taken quite the challenge for our torts here in Massachusetts. I am constantly worrying for Leonardo. Advise included to make sure hydration is in check because of the dry heat from all the heating. I have a small area w/ under the tank heat, an emitter above and the UVB. I try to soak him in warm water everyday for 10min-15mins, 2x= once in morning and once at night.

I have to go all the way to Tufts Vet for my tort. Where is your vet? Good luck w/ your Leopard too!
