I have two young Leopard Tortoises. One seems to be growing fine. No signs of pyramiding at all. The other one doesn't seem to be growing very well. Its size has increased very little but it doesn't look like the scutes are seperating very well. In fact, the area between the scutes seems to be growing out (sort of like an inverted pyramiding). Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be the cause of it? I feed both of the tortoises the same thing. Usually it's a mixture of greens and weeds. I give them a dusting of calcium about twice a week. I try to avoid dark greens like cabbage. And never give them fruit or protein. Thanks for any help.
