i just bought a new male veiled and i have him in my dinning room and i was wonderiing if a little dog that barks alot can stres him out?

Yes it could.

The chameleon should not be in an area where there is regular traffic.

I agree, your chamelon shouldn't be in a place where there is regular traffic, but I'm pretty sure I read some where that chams are mostly deaf and the only sounds they hear well are deep bass.

No, a little dog's ANNOYING and CONSTANT barking (grits teeth) will not stress your chameleon per se. (Thankfully) veiled chameleons are deaf and will not hear this noise. (Thank God for small mercies)
However, the SIGHT of a little dog constantly running around could be stressful to your chameleon.

hey man whats up post a pic of your male hey i put my female with my male she was ready but he is still a little small but the display was spectacular and textbook great pics to i will send them to you, well i agree with gomez from what ive read from variouse sources and experience chams cant hear evolutionists beleive that chams lost their hearing for their spectacular and binacular vision they can however like many reptiles sence vibrations so the site of the dog will stress them out more
