A Peanut goes Chrome!

googo151 Sep 25, 2005 03:51 PM

Hey,
Check out Mr. Peanut, today. He just shed out yesterday, check out what he looked like yesterday, and today he looks like this. Awesome Chrome-head today. I just love the way these guys go back and forth. Simply amazing!

Awesome. I didn't know they switched back and forth like that. At least not that dramatically. Pretty cool though. -chris-

Hey C,
Who knew! No, I have some adults that do this all the time, but to see a juvie actually do it, especially one that I hatched is pretty darn special.

I am very interested in black bloods, but the coloration on yours is superb. Who did you get it from? Thanks for the pic!

Hey,
This is one of my hatchlings from two clutches I hatched this year,
summer 2005. This is Peanut. What a little man! I love this guy. He is the only hold back from the last clutch.

Angel, I have a half dozen or so adult black bloods. Two of them go from a dark dark black head to a nice shinny chrome head. I have not quit figured out what causes the change. The habitat stays the same, would be neat if the head turned dark when hungry of something specific but it dosn't apear to have a specific stimulis?????
