This morning he was off of the tree and in the corner curled up. I put him back on the tree and five minutes later he got off of tree and went back to corner. Any one have any idea. I thought maybe heat to high by the tree branch he is on. It was 87 went I tested it. Any help would be great.

Green trees will sometimes go to ground for whatever reason. Usually it's nothing to worry about, and they'll go back up when they feel like it.

Thanks,

That was my next question. If it would have anything to do with her shedding. Because she hasn't shed yet.

WoW. I will not worry right now then.

Thanks a lot for the replies.

Hey,
Nothing to worry about, gtp's commonly do this and there is usually nothing pathogenic causing them to behave this way, it is just the gtp way and that is that. I have several hatchlings that do this every few days, and then are back up on their perch the next day.

i have one chondro that for about 3 months as a hatchling, spent 4 hours a day hidden under his waterbowl.i think he may have thought he was a ball python untill i set him straight and made it so he could no longer get under it.i was afraid that if he spent too much time laying in that stagnant, humid mess,he may develop a skin problem.anyway,he now perches normally and rarly ever see him anywhere near the floor.i think at the time he was scared and uneasy,he was prob uncomfortable under the waterbowl and hated every minute of it,but it was still not as bad as being as nervous and out in the open so he chose the lesser of two evils.it may be a sign that hes stressed and you may have to add some cover(plants, cover some of the glass ect.)
