Genetic Reduced Pattern

Rich_Crowley Sep 25, 2005 10:00 PM

There is definitely something to be said about this morph. So far this has been combined with the spider morph with very nice results. This is a joint project with my buddies at the Chicago Reptile House. They have photos of offspring from 2003 in case your interested in how they look as they age.

The color and pattern become more apparent as they age.

The photos are of the original founding sire and a male hatchling from this year. This appears to be a co-dominant appearance. The offspring below is the result of breeding the original sire to a normal female.

They look consistent with offspring I produced a couple of years ago. The more "reduced" the mother, the better the offspring are. We have yet to breed dad back to one of the outstanding daughters that look like your offspring in the photo. We hope to do that this year. Chicago Reptile House bought all my girls from 2003 and we expect some really cool stuff from them.

banded and reduced patterns will be great in the combo department with all the color morphs out there. I hope mine turns out to be as nice as yours did. first pic is female from 04 and second is an 05 male i picked up this year.
