What does everyone feed their bearded Dragons?

Mine is on a strictly greens diet...he eats his salad everyday with the occasional treat of carrots and romain lettuce...he also loves pinkies although he hasn't had one in over 8 months...anyone else feeding their's pinkies or carrots?

Thanks for reading/replying,
Ralph

i feed mine romain lettuce everyday with carrots mixed in maybe once a week, but i mainly feed him romain lettuce and crickets. I've never fed mine pinkies the breeder that i bought him from told me that in the wild beardies would never come across pinkies so they'd never eat them, he said just cause they will eat them doesn't mean that its natural for them, but i know people feed them to their dragons when there breeding...

Variety is important. Most lettuce has very little nutritional value. Collard and mustard greens are great. Use supliments on a regular basis. Worms, roaches and crickets are important sources of protein. I dont recomend rodents, they just aren't needed. For more nutritional info check out http://www.beautifuldragons.com (not my site). Its the absoulute best site for this info. A lot of time and effort went into the research for this site.

I would reccomend adding live feeders to your beardie's diet. They provide nurtients that are needed and that fruits and veggies don't have. Your dragon should not live on only greens. That's why nature didn't make this herbivorous...they need their crix.
