I want to get an atb and have read many caresheets. I have got that they are nippy (so is my san diego gopher snake) and I think they need just an ambient temperaturt of about 80 degrees. How should I achieve this without heating the whole room (as this is my room and people already complain it is too hott and I have to sleep there and it would be expensive during the winter). I use rope light the christmas lights in a tube, for all but 3 of my snake cages which have some type of heat pad. could I possily use this? it is generally warm where all my animals are fomr all the pads and rope light, but not warm enough. I would buy a juvinial that is cbb. For the first while I will keep it in a 20 gallon tall with pvc perches that intersect in many places. I will buy a huge water bowl or put two in and put a hide in on the ground. What else should I do if I do get one? O yea I have gloves I wear for "snaking" I wouldn't use teh same gloves but I use leather gloves or work gloves, THe northern water bit me A LOt and they don't gte through. Would this work for an atb?
