question on ambient temps

I recently watched the VPI video on ball pythons, and they said if their enclosures stay between 83-86 degrees without heat tape or any other supplemental heat , then you can raise ball pythons just fine with no ill affects, does that mean that you can also breed them in that situation, at night the temps drop to about 76-78 degrees, what do you think?
