Does anyone know of a hermanni breeder in the S.F. Bay Area? m

Jeannie Jul 19, 2003 07:17 PM

Looks like I will finally be set to get a Hermann's tort. in mid-August. I know I can get a hatchling from East Bay Vivarium, and they are pretty reputable (I've bought from them before). I'm wondering, though, if there are any local breeders? I'd rather not ship due to uncertain weather conditions (heat waves, especially here).

Thanks for any help,

Jeannie

Jeannie,

Also check with "The Animal Connection" out on Judah street. another good option would be to contact some at BAARS (Bay Area Amphibian Reptile Society). They may know of a private keeper that has available hatchlings.

Worse case there are several suppliers toward LA like Amazon Reptile and LLLReptile that may have Hermanni. If you want to venture a little further, there must be some down in San Diego.

I live in the Bay but only keep redfoots, boxies and wood turtles.

Good Luck,

Paul

There's a guy named Dean in Huntington Beach who raises Greeks, Marginateds, & Hermanns. He usually has listings on Kingsnake Classifieds.
