Hello everybody,

I thought I'd let everybody know how my trip to Louisiana went today.I got to help Davey Evans snag a few loggerheads out of their snapper pond. They had a few too many males in their breeding pond so they let me get one.We landed a 106lber but threw him back in favor of a yellowish 75lber. He said that all the turtles were dark colored when they were put in the pond 15yrs. ago but after a few years they turned yellow(go figure)I guess it's the mud or ph. The water is black and the mud yellowish white over there.Concordia turtle farm is a first class organization. Very clean(EXCEPT WHEN I FELL IN THE MUD TRYING TO CATCH THOSE SNAPPERS)They sell all kinds of baby turtles. I'll post some pics of my yellow turtle in a few days(I just hope he hasn't changed colors by then) Steve
