You should not keep a pair of chams together generally. There are a few exceptions, but these are usually because the keeper has a huge enclosure (room or walk-in closet sized) with a lot of vegetation for cover, knows the personalities of the chams, and is around during the day to watch for signs of competition and stress. The chams may not actually fight, but they are normally solitary, do stress each other quite a bit and one often ends up with health problems. What some people do is build a large cage and divide it down the center with a visual barrier. And by large, I mean at least 5' across, 4-5' tall, 3' deep. I know keepers use smaller dimensions, but I also know that most chams use all the space they are given and a larger cage makes it easier to provide several microclimates of temp and humidity, places to hide and travel, can handle larger bushy plants, etc. I often find that I wish I had made my cages larger than I did. Unless the chams are babies you really can't make a cage too large IMHO.
