At the most I would say 1 or 2.
Ugh.
What exactly do you have in there? And before anyone replies, I am going to recommend that you do a search on the forum for "mixing" I think that will just about sum up the opinions of most people here.
errrr, 7 amphibs in a 20 gallon tall seems like it is crowded. Too many can cause stress on the some of the frogs that can not be noticable until they croak, sorry for the pun. I wouldnt add any more herps to that tank. Second what kind of frogs are they, are they that same specie?
and as for " 10 inches of amphibians".....

10 inches of "amphibians?" What sort of "amphibians?" One speci of dart frog, or a mixture of whatever? If the latter, you just kicked a hornet's nest.
O.K. guys, this is time to give the facts one more time, so cool it. We'll all repeat ourselves, educate and instruct without going into shock or posturing. Anyone just exploring the possibilities of a hobby deserves all the information we can give, including more fruit fly information, if that's what it takes. People come on this forum for information. They do not necessarily go into the archives or read our past redundant posts, which can become endless threads and are in essence, quite boring. They want to know what they want to know right now. They are asking first questions we ourselves asked when we began.
Our duty is to be nice and answer them.
So all of your professors, begin your instructions.

It' hard to advise without knowing exactly which spcies you have in there. If it were something tiny, like baby american toads, it would be ok for them now, but they will need a longer tank later on.
You might want to buy some more tanks, because keeping multiple species together is usually dicey. Some varieties like firebelly toads are actually poisonous, making it a dangerous situation. Please post what you have in there...

Whoa! That's way too much for a 20. 7 frogs at 3 inches each, 4 varieties is not right for a 20-gallon.
Please be more specific so we can all tell you here what's more reasonable to do, if you actually want help.
Hope to talk to you again
