Can anyone tell me....

MissHisssss Sep 27, 2005 02:12 AM

I have an adult amel striped corn that seems to have scraped the color off of some of his scales (no it's not left over shed). Now they are white instead of orange. Will these scales ever return to their original color?

Thanks

they should after a couple of sheds. i have a jungle carpet python that got some white spots over him.for some reason they showed up after he shed. but now they are gone after a couple of sheds. don't know why.

I had it happen to one of my Anery Boas, the Vet Swabbed it and told me it was a Fungus. Some anti Fungal cream and a few sheds later it was fine. Not Sure if it would have just come back on it's own as well LOL, but yes it will come back.

I'm hoping it was from his scraping under his water dish instead of it being a fungus. But just in case, did you use just regular human anti-fungal cream on yours? And how many times did you use it?

Yes, I used regular anti Fungal cream, I think it was for Feet? The vet told me to apply it every third day until the nest shed, I may have missed a few times but she cleared up great after about 2-3 sheds.
Good luck.
Thanks
