One of my favorite all time females just let go a bunch. I think of these as a deeper rainforest locality Brazilian BCC because of their richer colors but one of the potential two fathers is a super pale animal. In his prime he was white with a bright red tail and is still very good looking. See links below to photos of the parents at their prime age for looks(pre-breeding). The other male has more the more typical coloration of the female. These three were litter picks, 1.1 from one litter and 1.0 from a 2nd litter in 2000’ produced and bought from Steve Hammond who got the founding animals close to 25 yrs ago from Tom Crutchfield who legally imported them from Belem. Although I have had about 8 different Brazilian BCC bloodlines these are only one of four that I have any tractability for and one of these four no longer exists to my knowledge.

Does not look like too much of a mess or slugs. I think both ovaries went. No low temperature cooling was used for this litter either. I have killed too many breeders doing that.

One of the nicest litters of Brazilian BCC's I have seen. So is the previuos Surinam litter. Not saying that because they are mine. Its a tribute to the guys who founded the stock and put in the years to produce the awesome parents that I used (i.e Hammond & Futo). I give myself credit for an intense and expensive 5 yrs raising them up well enough so as to allow Mother Nature to do her job again.

No slugs and looks like maybe 20+. I definitely can't keep all these babies and older animals for that matter.

Very nice Mike. You should be proud of those children. I am going to try my hand at N. Braz. BCC this year. My Hammond produced female is really hitting her stride on the jumbos/colossals at about 7 feet. Got up to 3 males to put on her when the time is right! Keep us posted as to how the babies get along! Older pic of her!
Thanx and enjoy!

It is great to see such a rare bloodline getting carried on. Great talking to you, and get those Venezula pictures up when you get some time! I would love to see them.

Take Care,
Kemper
