evercraig190 Sep 27, 2005 01:33 PM

i was wondering what would be the best material to build a cage out of..i am planning on buying a few ball pythons soon and i would like to build a cage with 4-5 compartments in it to house all of them once they have been quarentined for a few months...my original plan was to use wood with plexi-glass but i was told that wood wasnt the best for humidity..any help is great...thanks..

wood is just fine, just by a polyurithane paint or epoxy resin. if wood was bad, then CagesByDesign wouldn't make the best cages in town!!!

Cay of allboas dot com can help or me. just call. this is simple if you have ab plywood, wood tools, time, money and forsite.

i don't know what you mean by compartments but if you go 18"H x 60"L x 24"D and break that up to a comfortable space you could get three...but why not just buy a rack system? isn't what your building?
