hawiiangecko Sep 27, 2005 06:06 PM

okay, first off i got rid of the mites on my boa and used reptile relief in all my reptiles cages so none of them can't get it. i took the log out of my females cage and sprayed that good and when i looked at it the next morning there were at least a dozen dead mites laying around it. problem solved!

well my initial question was were do mites come from?

mommy and daddy mites????

Seriously, can come in on an animal either a new acquire or one visiting.

Could get on your animal from taking out somewhere were it could come in contact with mites. Another herper, pet store etc.

Have heard they can even come in on rodents (non frozen)

As already mentioned.........
BUT !!! Seeings how you used the product that you used(RR) your not nearly done YET !
That product isnt strong nor does it last long enough to effectively "stop" a current infestation of mites.
Regardless of how long they were on your property, theres a 99.999% chance one or twenty of them dropped eggs. They'll hatch with-in 11 days.
Then they will re'populate and the cycle continues.

I use Repel* and its totally effective, others DO NOT AGREE,but truthfully theres probablly twice as many that do(thru experience(s) by useing the product)

Best Of Luck !
