Are you familiar with the 40 gallon "breeder" size enclosure? If so, do you think it is tall enough for a few of these chameleons, or do you think I should go with a 30 gallon tall, which is more height oriented rather than length (I have both of these lying around, thought I'd ask before I bought a new cage). I don't have the dimensions with me, as I'm not at home, but can reply with them if needed. Thanks very much.

I don’t think the 40 has the height of a 30 or 29. It should still be ok though, how high is the 40 – can you measure it? I go with a 1 animal per 10G formula when it comes to how many to put in. You can bend that a bit with a larger, heavier planted enclosure. For small groups, I really like to use 29G tanks – 50 for larger groups. No more then 1 male in the 29 and no more then 2 in a 50.
