You don't want to use pressure treated wood because of the chemicals they use to do so. I don't know if any specific wood is toxic, see if someone else will post.
Im not positive on this one, but i think ceder is toxic. I know that the wood shavings can kill reptiles because of the chemicals found natuarly in the wood.
anyone else with any insight on this?
peace,
nathan
I just have basically a plywood box, with a plexi-glass front and screen top. Just use any plywood that is good 2 sides, and treat it with a water repellent. Then let it air out for a week and go from there, that's what I did.
I asked this when I built something. Someone responded that Cedar wood peices is fine, but the chips/bark are not.
I guess there is a difference.

Deffinitely don't use any pressure treated wood, cedar wood or green pine/spruce. If pine/spruce is kiln dried then it's fine. Cedar trim could be used outside the cage for aesthetic appeal but giving the cost for it, no real point in using it. Most other woods can be used other than those already mentioned.
