Has anyone here had success using the igloo cooler incubators?

JDalbo Sep 27, 2005 07:25 PM

I was thinking of building my incubator from an igloo cooler like the ones I've seen posted here and was wondering if anyone has had success with using it for their BP eggs?

I've had 2 clutches of ball python eggs so far from a regular cooler incubator that hatched out just fine!

It kept a steady 89-90 temp (with a jonston controller) and around 90% humidity.

It was a quick idea, since I wasn't expecting eggs, and my hovabator was not tall enough!

Hope it works for you as well

I've hatched out 4 clutches of Green Tree Pythons......and we all know how difficult those can be sometimes. This year I was 3 for 3 with my Ball Pythons and had a 100% hatch. I even kept the same temp as with the chondros. They work great, IMHO. Good luck.
