Does anybody know of a good place in SE Oklahoma to buy collard lizards? My male, Godzilla, died yesterday, and I am wanting to buy a CB male.

you are probably stuck with capturing your own...which should not be too difficult a task I thought before you said you lived in South Western?
Yeah, I know, I cannot find them in any pet shops around here. The problem with capturing one is finding one outside of the Witchita Mountain Wildlife Reserve, where as you probably know, they will fine you big if they catch you. Aside from there, I do not know of any large rock outcroppings around here where they might live. Where do you stand on online ordering? I found an ad online: $35 fo a pair. The weird thing is thay say they have both eastern and western 'Texas' collard lizards. Any idea whats up with that?

They're ALL OVER the state; you just have to look!
I've seen one from near Lake Eufala (closer to you?) that was almost BLACK with white spots. You can find them in surprisingly wooded areas such as hillsides with a couple of rocks here and there etc.
Other great places to look are along the rock (rip-rap to the fishermen) dams shoring up many of the man-made impoundments in the state (just make sure they're not within the confines of any state parks).

Shame, what happened? Do you know? Sorry to hear that ! Eve
I am pretty sure. It probably got a little too hot for him outside too. The female is fine though, and I think she is pregnant. They mated May 12 and 24 that I know of, isn't that a little long?
