yes iam pleased too with how much help he has given me. hes the kind of person that doesnt make you feel rushed when you are talking to him on the phone, hes helped me alot with a wild caught female that hasnt eaten for me. she struck once at a mouse but didnt eat it. still iam happy that she even struck, thats a step.
yeah ill be doing business with him again. now all i need is an 04 het albino female...

it was likely she was only being irritated and stressed by the mouse and struck in defense/anger. If there's no constriction the mouse was probably just stressing her out. The more stress, the less likely she will be to eat, and the more likely she will shy away from future meals. Try leaving a pre-killed mice in front of her hide overnight, that ought to be much less stressful.

Shiny, How long have you had this one, and have you tried the sack method yet? I've had fair luck with it with some other snakes.

Take a sack, paper bag or even a pillow case, put the snake and an f/k or p/k rat in said bag and close it up securely. You can staple the paper bag or tie the pillow case shut. leave them in over night. I can't gaurantee it'll work, but it is another method that has worked for others in the past. Good luck.

P.S. I said rat but you use whatever is apporpraitely sized for the snake.

I've talked to Joe several times over the past couple of months
and finally met him in the flesh, at the September NY metro Show...He seems like a Super person.
Hope to get one of his Hypos next year!
Enjoy your new baby!
