This year was awesome for my alterna production, had a bunch of great babies hatch out. Pics of all of them are at:

Here are a few that I think I will hold back.

Also Collin if you see this please email to talk about alterna.

I have been working with them for years to try to reduce the red and a few do not have a red scale on them. I really like the animals that mimic banded rock rattlesnakes.

Very nice alterna for generics! Congrats. They more closely resemble "Mottled" rock rattlers however since klauberi and alterna are not found in the same ranges.

Yo Brad,
Somebody said those were klaubs in the Huecos. But then they said you couldn't key a klaub from a lep lep (I believe that). Just thought I'd add that bit of trivia.

The "rule of thumb" as far as mimics and alterna goes was told to me by Denny Miller almost 30 years ago. There are more "blairs" morphs in the east because they mimic venemous pictigasters and more "alterna" morphs out west because of all the lep leps. Not klauberi [primarily Arizona and western New Mexico]!!! I wish the Franklins would produce alterna but as for now, they never have so I stand by my original post. Do you know of anyone to hunt the Cornuda mts? Alterna have to be there since its right in the middle of the Guads and the Huecos. Don't know of any access roads though. Thats a project for you Joseph!!! Cheers. BA

Too far away for me! It's about 7 or 8 hours away. If I head that many hours SW it puts me in Saltillo
