He has many things he's concerned about, I answered some questions for him in email, but you guys could really relief his "new to veileds stress"

Thinks he has a female , and needs to know at what age they may begin laying eggs/infertiles? The whole scoop.......

Anyway, take him under your wing , (hehehehheeh ) and make him feel more comfortable

Thanks guys!

Actually, there are some recent articles on veileds and on egg laying etc. on the Chameleonnews ezine that may answer most of his questions. If he doesn't overfeed her once her rapid growth has stopped (about 6 months) and cuts back on supplements then also, she may not begin forming eggs until she's about a year old. But, some of this is hard to predict because I bet heredity and the condition of HER mother may affect her own pattern. Some female veileds never lay eggs if not bred. She may never have problems, may lay small clutches, and do just fine. It is a matter of educating himself ahead of time that will make it easier.

Thanks for your help guy's it's been really great. Is i possible to overfeed? Won't they stop eating if they arfe not hungry anymore?

Yes, you can overfeed. Keepers tend to be happy that their chams have appetite that they tend to overdo it. When the cham is a fast growing baby it is not a big problem, but once they slow down at about 6-8 months of age you need to start cutting back. I start feeding a good meal every other day with a smaller snack on the off day. Cut back supplements too...minerals once a week and vitamins once a month. Rely more on a good gutload...dusting is just a gap filler at best.
