From the collection of Don Shores. You do realize there is no such thing as pure albino sinaloans!

Speaking for Nathan,

Yes,his animals are pure.First you have to toss out the whole idea that in our hobby there are no pure nelsoni or pure siniloans anymore with a few exceptions.
You may be able to get your hands on a pure pair of siniloans that are locale specific still but forget the idea of getting and nelsoni thats for sure. So,when it comes to morphs there is no way to keep anything pure siniloan or pure nelsoni "per say".
It wouldn't really matter anyway cause the albinos that are out there aren't pure one or the other anyways.the origonal ones were from adults that were collected from a intergrade zone to begin with.
So whats pure?pure is a animal thats from the wild correct?yes, they are pure as can be but they are pure intergrade siniloan/nelsoni and thats why in todays hobby it doesn't matter what you want to call them cause there is no way to really classify them anyway.
All the thousands of albinos and spotteds and striped and etc..that are out there are all mixed and matched of the two and it will never change so call it siniloan or call it nelsoni it is what it is.It is a dbl-het and it is pure cause it is from two snakes that are pure and hasn't had anything else bred into it.
Its not a jarrisic milk thats for sure?LOL..

Shannon, is there a noteable size difference between what is commonly thought of as nelsons and sinaloans. The reason I ask is I have a pair of low band count(presumably low 11 and 12) sinaloans, that are about the size of an adult cal king. I have never seen an adult nelsons but am under the impression that they don't get as large.

Thanks,

Yes,
I had some honest true ugly high band count nelsoni back in the day and the were shorter fater heavier body snake than a siniloan. Not by a long shot but you could tell. They would seldom reach over three foot as adults and siniloans would get four foot easy.
It was the bands that made them easy to tell apart. The true siniloans had about 10-16 (13average)narrow black rings with very thin inner white or creamy yellow bands.

The true nelsoni had 13-19 (16average)red bands and much wider black bands that peaked out on top.Plus the inner bands were about a half to a full scale more in width over the siniloan.
Now this was at the extreme's of there ranges.Almost all of the animals brought into the country were from places that were in a intergarde zone.
