Female must be at least 1500 grams male must be producing sperm. Average female hits breeding weight in 2-3 years average male comes of age around 9-18 months.

A 3 or 4 year old 1200 gram girl could throw healthy eggs, but 1500 is preferable, they are much less likely to throw slugs.
I wouldn't even breed my girls at 1500 if they were only 2 years old, I'd rather get some more size in them during the growing years

with one pair of snakes it shouldn't get too complicated. If the girl is truly 4.5'-5' weight will certainly not be a problem unless she is underfed. Oh, and a quick little conversion, 1500 grams is roughly 3 pounds so you can probably judge it just by holding her.

Most people say 1500 grams for a female to breed. That reason being in general if fed a NORMAL DIET thats what a girl should weigh when shes around 2 - 3 years old. You can not use weight as your marker alone thats nuts. If anyone has ever gotten WC females they know that most are 1000 grams and under. Most not all but alot of them unless they are gravid. The major difference being in the wild these snakes arent given a rat everytime they will take it. They have to find food. They also don't sit in a CB70 tub and get little to no exercise. I would defiantly go by agemore than weight. If your girl is 2-3 years old she will weigh more than enough. Alot of people are under the misconception that the bigger the snake the more eggs. That is true to an extent. But if they are just overfed animals expect slugs and problems and maybe a chance they dont even produce. Thanks for listening to me ramble. Have a good night.
