Darwin will be getting his first full vet checkup. I am not using my regular herp vet who is about 30 miles from me. With the price of gas, I figured I would at least have a relationship with a vet closer. He sees herps, but is not ARAV member.
He will be getting a fecal and general checkup. I REALLY think Darwin is looking to brumate. Some of you may recall I have asked about this before and got lots of good info as well as reading up on it. He will be 10 months in 2 weeks. He has not shed for a while and has been staying at 316-325g, is still 16" long and has minimal interest in food. If the vet gives him a clean bill of health I will let nature take its course (I feel like I am fighting it).
As for what to...I know to gradually decrease his day length and temps, but what about where he might be comfy? I see pics of them in drawers with blankets (I think that is so cute!). Can I just give him an old t-shirt or something for him to nestle into?
