and the snake may be his! My son is getting pretty good at handling now. This applegate hatched out on the day he was born. I think it only fitting that it be his pet. Just thought that I would share this proud moment. Take care all!

Great pic, I too have a Corn that hatched the day my daughter came from the hospital. It is really a nice looker[as is my little girl
] and I have been offered way above market for the snake but I just can't seem to part with it. Having your child in the snake room with you is really a great thing, that is when they aren't driving you insane. Tom Stevens
I know the pic is not a Pit but still kinda suits this post

That is what its all about Tom. Being able to share this hobby with our kids and hope that they get as much enjoyment out of it as we do is one of the most rewarding things I can think of. Great pic Tom. Take care my friend!

This is my 4 year old Mariposa. She gets right in the middle of the feeding all the time. She loves the pinckies and has to play with them for a bit before there last few minutes!LOL......
My oldest daughter thats now almost 16 was the same.I have five girls in all (never got the boy I guess I wasn't het?LOL...)and they all get under my feet in the snake room but I love it.
The two year old girl (her name is Zonata)doesn't really care much for animals yet but give it time.I did catch a really nice cal king on the way home from the hospital the night she was born and I still have her and will never get rid of it.They are very far and few between around here and it took me two years just to pair it up.
I also caught my first alterna ever walking on one of my daughters birthdays one year at 4:30 in the morninig on june 9th (01).That snake will be with me forever and is very special.

My 15 year old son could really care less about the snakes but knows them all. He won't handle them either but has been around them all his life. Oh well, maybe I can get one my neices or nephews to help out and get a pic then.

I dont have pics of the kids with snakes .
Tonight my daugter was helping me water snakes , she helps out alot for a 5 year old . I dump the water and she pours water back in . Tonight we had a big old bull climb out of the cage , she grabs him . He start to hiss like mad and she just laughs.
I have 2 girls no boys . My 5 years olds toys about half them are plastic snakes , frogs and bugs , stuff like that. Its just a hoot with these little rug rats around in the snake room .
Have good one you all.
Jason
My friends, those pics are priceless and should have frames on them. Pics like that beat any other IMHO.
