snakeman575 Sep 29, 2005 12:56 AM

I have been into boas for at least 16 years now im cutting back my boa collection and getting into balls so my question is how many pastels should i start out with male or females, I already have one male and female albino balls and two female het for albino balls and a trio of pieds one pied male and two het for pieds, I also have a pair of spiders, So any help from you ball breeders will be appreciated.

...depending on funds and size of collection you can handle, one male (they're good breeders, high % breed at a young age) and as many females as you can afford. There's so much you can do with Pastels (...check out the Pastel Pieds...those are KILLER!!), and that takes females.

...a second male from a different strain gives you additional strength or "breath" to work with, but for every codom male you have you want to add 5 females (normals or otherwise) to breed them to...

Even with the price flux on codoms, they're still a fantastic investment...
