Is a yellow belly normal?

Tugi Sep 29, 2005 03:59 PM

I just bought a female argentine black and white tegu. She has a yellow belly. Is this a normal coloration, or is it more likely to be staining from the aspen shavings she was kept on?

Also, I have noticed that this tegu flicks her tongue out like a snake, yet my male only makes smacking sounds and doesnt flick his toungue out. Is this normal?

they should be flicking their tongues out like a snake. i've seen pictures of yellow and even orange bellied black and white argentine tegus, so i guess they are out there.
