How many females will one male usually breed?

mynewhobby Sep 29, 2005 07:36 PM

Hello,

I am looking to breed some balls soon. I am just curious how many females will a male usually breed if he is of good size and weight? I have heard of one male breeding to four or five females, but what is the average number?

Your replies will be greatly appreciated

I've always heard the magic number is 5 females for a good sized breeding male.... apparently that number is good to make sure he's got enough sperm for the females he's with!

I've also heard of some big pastel males going with like 10 or more females and all of them laying big healthy eggs!

I think 5 is good though....
