I need some help

Grunngg Sep 29, 2005 07:47 PM

I would like to get a reptile/amphibian for a pet but I don't know what to get. I'm looking for something mid-sized, that can live fine in a 10gal tank as a juvenile but will get bigger. but not to big, i want it to comfortably live in a 30gal tank.
Also, I want it to be slow moving and relativly active. And tolerates slight handling (for easier tank cleaning)
No snakes, and whatever it is i dont want to have to feed it anything alive besides small insects and feeder fish.
One last thing, i'd rather it not be overly expensive. Thanks for your help.

This is a difficult call...
The best I can say is a leopard gecko. It would be more than happy in a 30 gallon aquarium (you could probably even house two females). They handle being handle well, if properly handled at youth (handle handle handle)... They are beautiful, fun, fairly priced and get a good size for a gecko. You might check into these. They are also relatively easy to keep.
