I caught this snake in my garage. Is it a corn snake? My husband thinks it may be a corn snake.
I live in Magnolia Springs, Alabama.
Unfortunately I stepped on its tail. I didn't see the snake. It think it'll be o.k.

No it's not a corn snake. It's a red bellied snake. A non-venomous, worm & slug eater.

I have a Florida Redbally. He is one of the most interesting snakes I have ever had. Very curious and will eat out of my hand. If you have slug and snails available, they are very easy to keep. Would love to find a mate for mine, if I knew what "it" was ( LOL ) Hard to tell when they are sooooooo small!!
