Leo likes fruits & veggies???

icedearthgoddess Sep 30, 2005 01:21 PM

I have a freind that said he had read that leos will often take fruit or veggies into their diet. Anyone heard anything about this? He tried apples, and carrots, and white corn, and said that his leos loved it...is there any harm in this? I would assume not, if it is given as a treat and not a "staple" in the diet. He used fresh friut and veggies, so there was no sugar or salt addd to these. I have also heard that baby and juvenille leos like baby food...is this correct? Again, should a leo be fed these items? Any comments or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nothing but insects for a Leo. Their digestive system is not set up for fruits and veggies.
