Who's selling Morelia carinata in the USA?

Sac-snake-man Sep 30, 2005 10:42 PM

JUST KIDDING

I just wanted to see who was paying attention

Morelia carinata (Rough scaled Python) I believe is the rarest python in the world and is what got me into Australian pythons. To me, it looks like a Green tree got busy with a Centralian, that head looks so green tree and, of course, the color looks Centralian. I know that’s not what you get when you combine the two, the good Dr. Frankenstein proved that with his hybrids. The scales are of coarse the thing that makes it unique.

I watched a show on them last night and it reminded me of the interest I had in the beginning.

Thanks for reading my rant. Hope you like them as much as I do.

Ahhh, the Holey Grail of Morelia-

I'd kill for one of those.

As far as I know, Reptile Gardens is correct, and I seriously doubt they're for sale. If it's the show I'm thinking of that was just repeated, they have a new one on 10/2 at 9:00, same channel. Mostly on Cane Toads, I think.

Of coarse they aren't for sale, would you want to sell them?

As for the show, I think it was a one-timer, called "hunt for the lost serpent".

I think there's been two of the shows on Carinata. The married couple from John Weigel's park were in the one this past week that was a repeat, and alothough they were looking for the Brown supspecies, they did find a carinata. They have a new show tonight at 8 on the animal planet channel.

Yes, you’re right. The show was on the Australian Couple that captured one. It was on Animal Planet last week. The first show I saw on them was Mark O’ Shea’s (I’m guessing) about 5 years ago. I believe there’s a web page that talks about it. As I recall, O’Shea’s was a lot more detailed about the habitat and the snakes than the last one on the married couple was.

The one last night was well done, but would have been better without Mo Rocca's little bits. He's just not funny. I kinda like Jackie better then Terry Irwin. Terry's the kind of woman you'd take home to meet Mom, but Jackie's the type you'd take home for yourself More of a "hand's on" type, lol.
