beardies losing weight.

keia89 Oct 01, 2005 09:33 AM

i have 2 10 month old beardies, and they got into a fight the other week where they bit eachother (not really bad) but they drew blood , so i seperated them. now that their back together, ive noticed theyve both lost weight.. do they get seperation anxiety cause my female almost stopped eating when she was alone n her tank?

1 is definately male, my other one im pretty sure is female, but shes still quite a bit smaller than him near the tail so i ant really tell.. mut mostly resembles a female. theyve been together since they hatched (theyre from the same clutch. and they looked horriably miserable once i seperated them..

Hi
i think beardies schould be separete if one not eat good .
r when they reach 5,6 months and male start with mating behavour.
r when they r male and female ,course you dont want the female be gravid ,especialy from her brother.
i would separete them and waith til she is 18 month old and then find for both a partner unrelated.
a brother and sister can give bad babies .
stress can cause not eating and give the change parasite get change to mutiply.
also i would advice read this www.parazap.com

they only stopped eating when they were seperated form eachother, they looked quite lonely, now that ive re-introduced them theyre eating like pigs.. i doubt i should be worried anymore..umm about seperating my female so she doesnt become gravid, im not going to be breeding her, if she does become gravid i wont be incubating the eggs cause like you said, theyre brother and sister.
