Sex Question?

donte Jul 20, 2003 03:25 AM

Today, I just pick up a Ball Python from an local seller.
The snake is about 3.5 feet, about 3 years old and 1202 grams,
however, I ask the seller to sex the snake, because if it was a
male I didn't want it. So he took out his probe's and probe it.
now my question is, how deep does the probe have to go to be a female?
when he probe her, the probe went about 1 1/2in. deep into the snake
So does that depth tells that it a female or male?
Thank you for your time

Hi Donte - If all the facts are exactly as you state them, then the probe would have extended to at least 8-9 subcaudals. Thus, the snake is a male.
