Info Needed on Cutting Out Light Vent in Vision Cage

Please, if someone can post or refer me to a source on how to remove the protruding light vent from a Vision cage. Thanks

I have never done it but have heard of others doing so. I believe a dremel rotary tool with a cutoff attachment is most often recommended. I'm not sure what other tools are used. What do you have access to? I have not cut much HDPE so I can't say for sure what else would work.

I would use rivets and hot glue to attach another piece of plastic or screen over the hole.
