Brown thing on baby's belly?

UroJade Oct 02, 2005 09:43 AM

My baby dune gecko has a small brown lump on his belly, at first i thought it was a crumb of vermiculite but he's shed twice and its still there, he's so small i cant pick him up to look at it. does anyone have any idea what it might be?
Other the the brown thing he's perfectly healthy he eats everything that moves and drinks when i spray the cage down i havent seen any stuck shed yet and he's starting to turn from see through to normal colors

Are you sure it is not his belly botton, where umbilical cord was? Sometime it stays like a little dried bump right in the center of their tummy. As he matures it will heal over if thats what your seeing.

How old is the baby?

He's almost a month old. I thought about it being somthing like and umbilical but i've never read anything about reptiles having them so i was worried about what i might be. it is right where a belly button would be if he had one so hopefully thats what it is
